Overview
The journey known as Chopta Chandrashila, which includes a visit to Deoriatal, is one that provides the traveller with the opportunity to experience adventure, spirituality, and the natural beauty of the area. This trip, which can be found in the Garhwal Himalayas area of Uttarakhand, is considered to be one of the most popular among Indian travellers who like hiking in the mountains. The walk begins in the town of Sari and travels through some thick woods as well as some stunning meadows and calm lakes. The first destination of this walk is Deoriatal, a beautiful lake that is encircled by verdant woodlands on all sides. The tranquil waters of the lake provide a mesmerising vista of the snow-covered peaks of Chaukhamba and Kedarnath, which may be seen in the distance. Yudhishthira, one of the kings of the Pandavas, is said to have been questioned by Yaksha, a demi-god, about the Dharma in the epic Mahabharata while he was standing at this location, which the people revere as a holy site. The hike will take you from Deoriatal to Chopta, which is often referred to as "Mini Switzerland" because to the magnificent scenery that can be seen there. The path winds its way through thick woodlands that are filled with rhododendron and oak trees and are home to a wide variety of bird and animal species. As you approach Chopta, you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramas of snow-covered mountains such as Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba.
