Dodital Trek (Hanumanchatti)
Dodital trek is a trek to fresh water lake situated at an altitude of 3,024 metres above the sea level. The lake can be reached by a moderate trek of 20 km which starts from a small village Sangamchatti in the Uttarkashi district. The Dodital trek passes through dense forests and deep valleys and takes you up to the Darwa top which is situated at 4,200 meters. The top offers amazing panoramic views of snowcapped peaks of Garhwal Himalayas.
Apart from the serene lake, the place also dwells one temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha and it is believed that Lord Ganesha was born here. That’s why there is one more name of this trek which is ‘Dhundital’ meaning Lake of Ganesha.

Short Itinerary
1st Day: Drive from Dehradun to Sangamchatti and Trek to Agora (2220 Mtr) – (130 Km Drive / 05 hrs. & 05 Km trek )
2nd Day: Trek from Agora to Manjhi (2880 Mtr) to Dodital (3100 Mtr) (14 Km trek/ 6 or 7 Hrs.)
3rd Day: Dodital- Darwa top(4100 Mtr) – Dodital (05 Km one side)
4th Day: Dodital to Agora
5th Day: Agora to Uttarkashi – Dehradun
Short Itinerary (Dehradun to Dehradun)
1st Day : Drive from Dehradun to Sangamchatti and Trek to Agora (2220 Mtr) – (130 Km Drive / 05 hrs. & 05 Km trek ) Reach Dehradun and start your mountain journey in the early morning after breakfast. We will take some short breaks in between and one lunch break at Uttarkashi. Sangamchatti is just 15 km from Uttarkashi and is the starting point of the trek. After reaching Sangamchatti, we will start our trek to Agora, which is 5 km from Sangamchatti.
Dinner and overnight stay in Camps
2nd Day : Trek from Agora to Manjhi (2880 Mtr) to Dodital (3100 Mtr) (14 Km trek/ 6 or 7 Hrs.) After having breakfast, we will start our trek towards Manjhi and further to Dodital. Today’s trek is 14 km long and will take you through the dense forest of Oak, Pine, Deodar and Rhododendron. The trail is uphill throughout the whole route till Manjhi. The trail is comparatively easier and flat from here and offers great views of surroundings.
Explore the lake and a nearby temple which is dedicated to the Goddess of Food. As there are several varieties of birds in the vicinity, one can spend a quality time by doing bird watching there. Himalayan Trout Golden Fish can be found in the lake.
Dinner and overnight stay in camps at the lake site.
3rd Day : Dodital- Darwa top(4100 Mtr) – Dodital (05 Km one side) Wake up and get ready for a trek to Darwa Top. We will start our trek with the packed lunch and after having breakfast. Situated at a height of 4200 meters, the Darwa Top is 5 km from Dodital. Reach the top and enjoy the magnificent views of Banderpooch, Kala Nag and other Himalayan peaks.

4th Day : Dodital to Agora
On this day, we will trek back to Agora. The downhill trek will be easier and takes less time. We retrace the same route and reach back to Agora village.

5th Day : Agora to Uttarkashi – Dehradun
We start our day with a small trek of 5 km back to Sangamchatti and then begin our drive b
